As above. Even if it takes you a bit longer to get it, it'll be worth it. I waited nearly 20 years for a decent tube amp. And I REALLY appreciate and love it.

Good luck!

So here's the story:

For the past year I've been GAS-ing for Deluxe Reverb, but being thirteen and having no job I can't afford the nice tube amp I want. So the other day we went to our local guitar shop to look at the tube amps. Nothing worked for me. Then the owner came up to me and told me about a professional blues guitarist he knows who is trying to sell an amp. He said that the amp would fit my style perfectly and that he would call me when it comes in. He didn't tell me what brand it was or its age. So for the past few days I've been obsessing over what it will sound like.

I'll tell you if I get the amp and I'll post some pics and a review when/if i get the amp.

+1 being 13 sucks..... i 'work' at my dads music store however, so if im patient i can afford guitars eventually (getting a mustang tomorrow 8) )....... most of my guitars have been for birthdays and one for christmas (my first acoustic, and my favorite guitar, the ovation elite usa hand crafted).... as far as amps i never have more than one because i sell the old ones to fund the new beast

Don't settle for a piece of junk.

Save your money for the piece of gear you really want. Not only will you save money in the long run, but you will appreciate it that much more when you finally get it.

+1 Believe me, if it's been gigged professionally, there's a reason he's getting rid of it unless he's retiring from music. The only time I get rid of a piece of equipment is if I get tired of repairing it. I'd save up and get the DRRI or buy a used DRRI with some warranty left on it.
