my nephew was round last night to play x box with my son and came downstairs while i was fixing snowy's melody maker , he said that was a cool axe then picked up my new epi lp and started playing the intro to the buns and toasties song sweet child o mine , he said the epi was excellent , so i plugged in the marshall  whooo thats loud he said :D then i told him it was only at 1  so he played some some more , he was as happy as a pig in s**t , then asked me to show him a song , he wanted to play purple haze to start with but changed to hey joe when he saw it was a bit tricky , he has never done barre chords so i showed him the e shape and the a shape , i've written the shapes down for him , he's picking them up this morning , he got a new ibanez for chrimbo , so he's keen 8) i'll probably be seeing a lot more of him in the future :D just thought i'd share guys :D cheers

Playing with the kiddos is always a good time. I was playing Blitzkrieg Bop with my 5 year old daughter a couple days ago, awesome.

It's great to hear a positive story like that - it sounds like you had as much fun teaching as he had learning. Since I'm relatively new here - are you a teacher?
