Hey guys I was wondering this the other day as we were recording cos we were debating the name of our E.P. and want to use a line from a track.

I got to thinking how many times this has been done before and I can only think of 3:

'Dark Side of the Moon' is said in Brain Damage - Pink Floyd (I think its that track anyway)

'Nevermind' is said in Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

'Use Your Illusion' is said in Locomotive - Guns N' Roses

Can anyone think of any more cos I am stuck!!

Thanks guys, hope alls well.

CC

Home by foo fighters has the line "echoes in silence, patience and grace" in it, which except for the word "in" is the title of the album.
The phrase "everything to nothing" is in the song my friend marcus by manchester orchestra and its on their "everything to nothing" album. The album also has a title track.

Tochai's got it right, it can't be the same as a title of a song, just lyrics that mention the album title.

This discussion reminds me of the Family Guy episode where they talk about movies where the title of the movie is in a line from the movie...

I see many people have missed the point.

Anyway--an album named for a line in a song, but not the name of the song, is Alice Cooper's album, Easy Action.
There is no song called Easy Action,
but the title comes from the song Still No Air.

Then for an example of something not asked for-
Led Zeppelin has a song called Houses of the Holy and an album called Houses of the Holy.
But the song is not on the album of the same name (Although the song was recorded before the album was released--it was where the album title comes from, but then it wasn't included on the album of the same name.)

I guess the album titles named for a line in a song from the album are easiest to remember when the line also happens to be a song title from the album too. The other way is much harder as I am still trying to think of one :?
