Folks:

I've gotten quite a few questions about the status of Kings of Last Call and our debut CD, From Memory, and have been telling most folks in response: "hang on, I'll post an update soon". Well, it's my lunch hour and I figured I'd go ahead and post that update ... so if you'll bear with me for one long, consolidated self-promotional message we'll then be able to all move on. Breathe deeply, folks. :-)

Firstly, we launched the new Kings of Last Call website just last night: you can find it, appropriately enough, at www.kingsoflastcall.com. This is fresh off the assembly line and I'd be very curious to hear your feedback regarding the new site!

Secondly, our debut CD, From Memory, is now available and if you like what you're hearing you can grab a copy at iTunes, Amazon, or CD Baby.

Thirdly, our guitarist (and fellow Fender employee) Rick Heins was a prominent fixture at the recent NAMM Show in LA -- Rick is not only an amazing guitarist but also a very gifted speaker / presenter and he did a fantastic job demoing the new G-DEC® 3 amplifier at the show. The folks from USA Today stopped by for Rick's demo and ended up crafting an article out of it both for the newspaper and their website, which you can read here.

Fourthly, we're playing tonight in Phoenix so if you're in the vicinity come on out! I'll be playing through an all-Fender rig this evening. Show details are here.

Let's see ... I believe that's it! Let me just share a few band pics and then I'll return you to your regularly scheduled Fender programming:

Hey Brad, I'm just now listening to the CD samples on Amazon, really good stuff. Congrats on the release, that must be a huge sense of accomplishment 8) . Interesting photo on the CD cover, is there some history with the location?

The website looks and sounds GREAT! The name of the band sounds much cooler than "Kings of Leon" to me. 'Kings of Last Call' seems to
have all the right ingedients. :)

Congrats on the CD release, Brad! Real fine driving sound and the vocals sound terrific as well as guitars, but that rhythm section is pumping! 8)

Best wishes!

Brad, congratulations on the new website and new CD, the article is cool and so is the video interview. I know a bit about shame less self promotion  and you don't have to worry, it was a treat to view the new website and listen to your music. If I was in Phoenix tonight I would be coming to see The Kings Of Last Call but I'll be there in spirit, break a leg tonight!

Cool website. You guys sound good.

Few questions if you don't mind me asking

What is that light blue p-bass that you are playing?
What software widget did you use to play audio on your site?

Great job

Cheers

Congratulations on the release Brad.

Very good production all round, musicaly and visualy. No less than I'd expect of you based on previous performance.

Refreshing to hear something a little different to the usuall rehashed blues numbers too. Itunes here I come.

Thanks so much! No particular "story" behind that photo other than it's a picture of a quaint little motel in Flagstaff, AZ -- we like Flagstaff. :-)

I play a Highway One P Bass® from a few years ago and it's Daphne Blue. Play it through a Fender TB-600 head and an old Fender cabinet.

The audio player on the site is "Wimpy MP3 Player" -- http://www.wimpyplayer.com

If you do move your way to iTunes I'd be curious to hear how you're experience goes as you'd be one of the first purchasers via that channel. :-)
