For anyone who is a fan of Megadeth. Not a huge fan here but their Rust in Peace album is a classic.

to celebrate the 20th ann. of that album they are playing in its entirety.

Hope i get to catch it. It still gets plenty of airplay on the iPoddle

If only Marty Friedman came back too, then I would be really interested!

Agreed. I dont think Mustaines ever been able to replace Nick Menza either. That flanged drum intro to the title track was spectacular.

Ahh yes, Nick Menza. Also the lyrical inspiration for Hangar 18, at least thats how I remember hearing thats how it went. Menza was the one that was into the Alien conspiracy theories and what not, and supposedly is the one who brought the actual Area 51 and Hangar 18 to Dave's attention...

Right I now have to put that album back onto my ipod and consume copious amounts of beer, just like 20 years ago.

Tell the truth their one band I havent forgotten ever. I dont think they suffered the decline in quality that slayer, metalica or anthrax ever did. Even risk and youthenasia were fairly in keeping with the speed to traditional metal line that megadeth always seemed to straddle.

I looked at their tour calendar, they have a gig near me, but it's already sold out :(

Rust in Peace is my 2nd favorite Megadeth album next to Rust in Peace.

I was bummed to find out this Monsters of Metal tour was canceled. Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer would have been one heck of a show. I'd have to break out the hightops and denim jacket for that concert.

Sadly I have to suck in the beer gut to wear them clothes these days.

My personal midlife crisis is (not so firmly) situated round the waist. Last time I wore a jacket and trainers I looked like I'd just left the bookies rather than ready to rock.
