If you drop the picks constantly it is most likely due to the:
1. too much sweat (you can fix that with some powder or just relax)
2. your technique might not be proper for your custom pick (try to change your attack angle or try many different regular picks, try a bass pick-large triangle ones)
3. you need to relax your picking/strumming hand a bit (play from the wrist rather from the elbow)

Ah ha, I would play from the wrist if I could, but its very hard for me, but occasionally in very easy songs I do.

Na its not the grip (well particlly), but cause of my dystonia in my right hand.

A muscle disorder. If your under the tiniest but of pressure, (like talking to someone you dont know well), the part thats affected's muscle's go really stiff, to the point where you cant do anything with it....it sucks. I cant even type with my right hand for christ sake!!!
