Anyone interested in what gear Jimi used would probably like to pick up the new book by Michael Heatley with Harry Shapiro,it's called appropriately enough Jimi Hendrix Gear. The book includes extensive photos of his gear and detailed descriptions of his effects and studio tricks as well as an inventory of where some guitars ended up.I guess It's a must buy for fellow Hendrix freaks like me,it will go well with my Beatles Gear book.

I got that for Christmas and I could sit for hours just flipping through the pictures. It's cool for both Hendrix fans and classic guitar and gear fans alike.

Have to get that one. I saw him in concert in July of 1970. Incredible!

Yeah he was; I saw him in April 1968...the Soft Machine opened for him. Until recently, I thought it was the first concert I saw, but then I remembered that I saw the Young Rascals at the Pittsfield Boys' Club in MA July 30, 1967; I was a camp counselor and they took everyone to the concert.
