Finished all the shielding and wired soldered all the components on the pick guard. However due to various interruptions at work (doing all this in the shop at work) i got slowed down so will have to resume monday. Just need to do the jack, ground wires, re-assemble the tremelo and do setup.

Can't wait. If it buzzes now... I'm throwing this out the window.... just kidding.

Essentially i'm done. I was a little disconcerted yesterday when the action flat out sucked after putting it back together but after adjusting truss rod, setting string height/intonation, letting it sit a while then going back and repeating the steps, I got it pretty square. Here is a pic i took with my cell phone. I'll try and get a nicer pic with my wife's camera if anyone is interested. Tonally it sounds much nicer with the new pots and way, the shielding drastically improved the noise. However, i still get the 60Hz hum when distortion is way up but i guess there is not much to be done with that if i'm on single coils and sitting below florescent lights (or is that stupid?)

anyhoo... let me know what you all think of my first crack at a frankenstrat.

It used to be a classic cream color with standard single coils. I bought an Ash body and stained it forrest green which doesn't really come through in the pic so i'll try and post something better. The finish turned out ...OK. Not my strong point and in hindsight i'd probably should have just bought it prefinished but this project was more for fun.

of course... i can't figure out how to post a pic. Do i need to upload it to a FTP site or something first?[/url]

Figured it out.

Pardon the terrible picture quality... and if you think the guitar looks crap... pardon that too.

Lace Sensors. The Bridge PUP is a Lace Transensor. At the time I bought these i wanted to go with a Single Coil HB for the Bridge, was going to get a DiMarzio SCHB but went with the Transesnsor for aesthetic reasons so all would match. I was pleased with the sounds i was getting yesterday just out of the tiny GK amp and DOD distortion so anxious o hear this plugged into something nicer

That's what I thought. Hoo Ray for lace sensors! ..the B pup looked like a Lace installed upside down. That's why I had to ask.

Yeah I thought the same and figured it would give off that impression. Don't know why they couldn't just left justify the print to keep everything consistent but thats just me be obsessive compulsive about aesthetics.

many many thanks. I really appreciate it.

Jamming on it right now. This little micro GK is hot. One of the mixers left it here and has since been laid off. May just keep it in the shop for fun times.
