Im sick of the crap sound of small practice amps. anything that sounds good, is too loud or needs to be cranked up loud to sound decent, and as i live in an apartment, loud is a big no no.

On playing through a Line 6 X3 live in a store i found some awesome tones as stock in the thing, without me having to mess with anything. really good tones.

I got one, and yea, it sounds awesome, but its bloomin complicated to create your own tones with. Im trying for a synth, lo gain, echoy organ type sound, as found in the intro to Here I go again, the album version by whitesnake.

I cant for the life of me get it right. Anyone else have this pedalboard and did it take you long to get the hang of?

I struggled with my X3 for ages, then I decided to read the manuel  The Line 6 forum is full of great information too, it's on the website. Free to register and post, try and get the most from it. Like you say, there are some awesome tones to be accessed.

Here's the link..... http://uk.line6.com/podxtlive/

Cant help you Schmintan, I'm still struggling with my GDEC. Why didnt it come with a more detailed manual. The manual looks comprehensive when
you take it out of the box. Then you realize it's thick because it's in 75 different languages. So many choices, so few buttons.....

I tried the Pod XT and went for the Pod V2. Why the hell do I need cabinet options let alone microphone options.

Some things just have too many options.
