Hey everybody, my wife is now 15 weeks pregnant! I am now officially stoked!

My buddy's son has watched the same Eagles concert video since he was 6 months old, now at 2 1/2, he still watches that same video EVERY day. Sometimes twice. I hope my child has some musical love in him/her.

Anyone else in the same boat?

congrats!!!

Assuming this is your first? I have 4 girls and the wife is delivering the 5th girl in June.

There is nothing like it in the world. I can't wait til one of them takes an interest in my guitar. I wish i had a young Lad in the house as i'm clearly outnumbered but its fantastic nonetheless.

I wish you the very best

Thanks so much captain. Yes, it's my first and I am very excited. I'm just a big kid anyways, so what's another in the house.

also... not to spam the thread but wanted to add that one of the finest feelings in the world is when you have a $@!& day at work with ridiculous client with their mundane issues and you walk through the door and the younglings lose their mind and jump up and attack you. Makes all that other crap seem less then meaningless.

SenderKirk.

Your in for the absolute greatest gift ever, no exaggeration.

My firstborn came along seven years ago. Quite late in my life at 30. It changed me in more ways than I could count. The last one rocked up here two years ago Christmas day. I firmly believe that the only reason I made a half decent parent was because I got my wild days well behind me before parenthood.

I really wanted a son to continue the family name and all that tripe. I only got daughters. Let me tell you, it didnt phase me in the slightest. Your that overjoyed when they land you really won't care aslong as the kids doing ok.

Get ready for the hormone driven mood swings mate. The missus will become particularly difficult to deal with until Dday arrives. So put the guitar down occasionaly, make her a cup of tea and give her a cuddle. Tell her that she's beautiful too. Thats particularly important when their the size of a family car and cant walk properly. I really cant stress that enough to you. Make her feel wanted and loved later in the pregnancy.
Here's to your impending family's health.

Wow! Thanks guys. Niki, I'm 32 now, so I'm all partied out, well almost. Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure the wife is constantly loved. She hasn't gotten too moody yet, but she has started "nesting." I am going to lose my jam room, but that's cool, I'll just move down to the family room, and maybe downsize a tad.

Thanks Chet, sounds like you've got some good swimmers in your genes, or is it jeans?

Thanks fhopkins. Every day I get a little more pumped.

By the way, senderkik started as FenderKick, don't ask why. A mumbled phone call turned it into senderkik, and it's stayed that way since.

Congratulations! My wife and I have two daughters now and that's as far as our family is going to grow. There is nothing cooler than being a father. Being a man I always assumed that I would want boys but when our oldest was born just over 6 years ago I couldn't have been more wrong and now having a second baby girl around is the best thing ever. I'm 34 so we're pretty close to the same age and I'm having the time of my life with these little ladies. I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy for your wife and a beautiful and healthy baby when the big day comes. Enjoy it all and know that it only gets better!

Congratulations man! I have a 2 year old daughter myself. You have quite a lot to look forward to. Sadly, my wife and I both work and have to put her in a daycare, but they're fantastic. I get to pick her up after work and every day she runs to me screaming, "daddy! daddy!" and jumps into my arms. It's the best part of my day. It's one of those moments you wish never ends. :D

She is starting to become interested in my Strat lately. Every time I get it out, she says, "pick pick pick!" ha ha! I gave her a pink pick a couple weeks ago and she uses it to beat on the strings as I form chords for her. She loves it! She seems interested in music as far as I can tell.

Someday my Strat and Mustang will be hers. :D
