So I bought this cheap strat copy a year ago by a brand called Crescent. I picked it up for $15. I bought it to learn how to set up guitars and I think it has served its purpose. The fret job was horrible on it. You couldn't bend without it catching on rough spots so I sanded down the frets and fret ends. Maybe a bit too much on the fret ends but whatever. Gave it a restring and set up the trem and everything else. The neck and action is just terrible on this guitar. Since then this guitar just sits on the stand taking up space. I could sell it, or give it away. Do you think this P.O.S. is worth investing a new neck and maybe some pups to give me some more experience in playing guitar tech, or should I save it for the campfire...either with my belt clip marshall or as wood?

Post it as a pre E-bay sale. Say it is highly modified and professionally set up. (lol) sorry another thread.

Umm...Camp fire, unless you have a young person (Under 8 ) that you can give it to.

you bought it you worked on it, no guarantee if you give it away that it won't end up on the campfire, loosen the strings cover it and hide it were it won't take up space, 20 years from now you get a guaranteed smile.

I often take fixer uppers and cheaper starter guitars , find a kid who does not have the money for a guitar ,loves music and give it to them, nice to give back to the future of our industry. :D

Don`t invest a dime into it. Save your money and get a better guitar.

Ditto here for giving it to a kid or a shelter where abused woman and their children go,that would do wonders to a child in such a horrible situation.

Yep, find a kid to give it to. Who knows - maybe they'll end up with music as their career. :)
