Who would you like to see do the next James Bond theme?
I was just randomly thinking about it after listening to 'you know my name'. I thought this song was one of the best Bond themes there have been along with Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Tiina Turner and Sheryl Crow.
I thought Corey Taylor or even Scott Weiland would be good candidates after the songs they have written for their solo material or stuff in their bands.
For example Corey Taylor writing Snuff, Through Glass and Bother. I think Chester Bennington would probably also be a good contender but Im not sure about his writing as he usually writes the melody with lyrics for LP and Dead By Sunrise rather than the actual music.
What are your thoughts?

I would like to hear Muse do a James Bond theme.

I have heard Björk do a cover of a 007 theme and she did a good job of it so she might be a nice canditade.

I could see a James Bond theme by Staind. Yeah... that would work for me. But I rarely watch Bond movies. There hasn't been a real James Bond since Sean. 8)

Maybe Lenny Kravitz as well.....hmmm....and btw timothy dalton and daniel craig were both quite similar to flemmings portrayal in the books minus a couple of very minor details. For example craig has light hair but i dont think dalton and connery has blue eyes, but i may be wrond :S

When GN'R wrote this song they had a James Bond theme in mind and I think it would work perfectly:

Its called If The World

Does their cover of "Live and Let Die" count as already having done a Bond Theme?

Coheed and Cambria would do an interesting Bond Theme.

Killswitch Engage would be another good choice, bring some balls to Bond.

I'm sure I'm way off base with this, but I thought Carly Simon (Nobody Does It Better) had the best voice there has ever been on a Bond soundtrack.

And because I think Norah Jones has the best female pop voice since Carly Simon I guess I'd be curious to see what she'd do with a Bond theme. Left-field, anyhow.

Yes, I know: shoot me down...!

Cheers - C
