I went to a instrument store in Reykjavík to buy some picks (I lost all of my picks during christmas clean up) and saw a Squier starter pack for about 273 us$. It was I think a squier strat frontman with a 15 watt fender amp.

Is that a fair price for a squier?

Nonni,
Might be a bit high, if its a "starter pac" might be ok if its a "better" Squire
Heres a MF link to the starter pacs

Good Luck

Bill
