Bigsby whang bars.

Active electronics.

Relicing.

Regular sized humbuckers on a strat. I'm OK with single coil sized humbuckers.

I wouldn't touch a Floyd Rose anything.

I agree with pretty much everything people have written already, but I also dislike reverse headstocks. The purpose of the six-in-line tuners is easy access. Reversing the headstock negates that benefit (in addition to looking dumb IMHO).

And even though they're very traditional, I also can't stand big yellow dreadnought acoustic guitars. They look like something Roy Rogers would play around the campfire.

To be honest I don't like really expensive guitars.. If they are too expensive I don't wanna play em ( they look to nice). (ok in other words I dislike Pretty guitars with fancy inlays and snazzy paint jobs.) I don't think this counts but I can't stand people who have 30 grand worth of gear but cant play a lick.. I pay my self a dollar an hour that I practice and 20 per song I learn. (just so that I don't become that guy>.))

Relics, road worns, etc. Guitars should be aged naturally.

Brown tortoise shell pickguards (or even picks for that matter).

Dreadnought acoustics. Don't like the shape.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I would have to say that the Strat, Telecaster and Les Paul are guitar body perfection and that all other companies that copy their style should have rightfully had their ability to copy these guitars taken away. I usually roll my eyes at big corporate law suits but those shapes are icons and should be kept with the people who actually designed them. I would love to see a company come up with a "new classic" shape of their own design that would rival the original beauties. So I guess my short answer would be I hate any copy guitars.

* Stickers all over them.
* "Road Worn" (sorry Fender, just silly...let me wear my own out naturally)
* Those Daisy Brand guitars (shaped like flowers, stars, et al.)
* Pretty much all Dean guitars...odds shapes and what.
* Don't care much for colored headstocks, either...
but I know I'm alone on this one.

the ones with no headstock, that's creepy, you almost expect to look at the guitar player and his head is missing too

Oh.

So you don't want me to put this in the mail to you then?

I really dislike Floyd Rose Trems.

As Nevin stated the horrible new Gibby Fails....just very insisting upon themselves that you can label a turd w/ a Gibson logo and the musician community will pay out the nose for it, unfortunatley they are right in some cases.

Subtley is a valued attribute sometimes forgotten when designing or decorating a guitar.IMHO

Active electronics can sound good. But are at times tedious. They can cut out or run down at inopportune times.

I have a huge issue with the newer Digitech pedals, RP series. They are plastic pedals, the tension for the pedal is held together with an office supply butterfly clip. It falls off and then scrolls through the effects. If you have one, open it up and see for yourself.

Poorly make guitars with bad wiring.

Wow, I love this post. I thought I was the only one to think that an artificially beat up guitar is somehow worth more than a perfect one. The idea that some non playing collector can somehow get some "mojo" from touching a beat up guitar and that it will somhow rub off on him is insane. I look at guitars like I look at cars. The nicer it looks, the better. A beat up guitar won't sound any better that a nice one. It just will look like crap. If I ever buy a reissue, it'll be the closet classic. I don't want to pay extra for the company to beat it up for me. Period. I also agree on pointy guitars, rocket ships, axes, fuzz, etc, etc.

1. The CBS headstock
2. Artificial aging
3. The CBS headstock
4. Stickers
5. The CBS headstock
6. Black pickguards on black Strats
7. The CBS headstock
8. Strats and Teles without pickguards
9. The CBS headstock
10. Bullet truss rods

Did I forget the CBS headstock? If I did, let me add it. It's seriously ugly.

Pointy guitars like Jackson, Flying V's, BC Rich Warlocks, etc.

Black guitars, nothing but fingerprints to see there.

But in reality, each guitar is as individual as the owner so if you like it while you play it that your opinion is the one that matters.

I love my Tie Dye Strat but know that isn't for everyone either.

I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to say about the CBS headstock. You could be a little clearer? 8)
