Thanks, that's my Deluxe Players Strat. It gets a lot of compliments on looks and tone. 8) :)

Okay,

In a show of unity for Campbellgrafx I'm going right out to paint one of my Strats white. Just kidding, but truthfully the white ones are among my favorites. The next one I get will probably be a white one. 8)

I am with you guys, look at mine.

1. Humbucker
2. CBS headstock
3. Non matching pickguard/pickup covers
4. Rosewood fretboard

Come to think of it my guitar is the most un-Strat-like looking Strat I have ever seen. (ducks his head away from the computer in shame)

No, RK, it's not quite the un-Strattiest Strat around. If I knew how to upload a picture on here, I'd post one of my Stratosonic. That's a non-Strat, lol. I wish Fender still made them. Like my Big Apple Strat, I had to luck up and find one for sale. It has a chambered mahogany body with a 24 3/4" neck scale and P-90's. It even has a big headstock and (insert gasp here) a wraparound bridge! Id does sound freakin' awesome, though. BTW, I like your HWY 1. For my money, the HWY 1's and the new American Specials have the American Standards on the run, JMO. How do you like that bridge humbucker? The ones I've played have all been S-S-S setups, and I've heard some bad things about the HWY 1's pups, but I think they're great.

shadowgrass3,

The Atomic Humbucker that is in both the American Special and Highway 1 are a little weak sounding to me. I converted my Highway 1 from a SSS to a HSS and installed a Dimarzio Super Distortion and installed a new 500k volume pot.

I still use the stock Alnico III pickups in the Neck and Middle. I have always loved the sound of those two PU positions. My Highway 1 sounds awesome now, especially the Dimarzio SD in the bridge.

I have played the HSS and SSS American Specials and personally like the SSS sound better. I am going to purchace a SSS American Special probably within the next few months. I plan on keeping that one pure stock.

I really like 'em. Noiseless as you can get and quite a variety of pickups to choose from. These are the Blue/Silver/Red pack, and each of them sound just like the company described.

Cool photos cambell, nice guitars.
I find it hard to have hard and fast 'i don't like' things in looks, because sometimes a guitar just wins me.

1. I never liked sunburst guitars, no idea why, but then I found a Gibson L6S that was just sweet - and sunburst, and it was my main ax for a few years. Now I don't like sunburst guitars again - BUT I wanna get a sunburst P-Bass. Confused?

2. I don't like tort pickguards, and changed the tort on my Jazzmaster for a mint one... BUT i can't imagine having anything else on a P-Bass. Confused?

3. I don't like black scratchplates on black guitars, BUT I had a '76 tele, black on black, that was so good I never noticed.

4. Probably will never ever never own a Floyd Rose tho!
