Jeff Beck's Telecaster and Eric Claptons' Stratocaster were both great.

At 3:48 when they went into "Moon River" it surprised but amazed me too. 8)

I would of never expected that on the set list in a million years, and I totally loved it. Forget all the pyro's and divebombs nobody can do with a trem what Jeff can do from making it sound like a sax to a voice he is just from another world. I asked Mike Eldred if he knew what Jeff does to his trem so that it never goes out and he can do a show without changing guitars. He told me Dan Smith was at a rehearsal and during a break asked Becks tech if he could check out his guitar as he picked it up the tech said it is not in tune ans Dan Smith said the guitar was totally out. So he just pulls the notes till they are in pitch, and me and Niki who was on the thread with me were just astonished. I am really happy to see Beck doing probably the best financially today then he has ever done because he really deserves it, as he never came no where close to his peers in that department.

Moon River was always one of my favorite songs and Beck does absolute justice to it. In my opinion (which normally doesn't count for much: at least my ex used to tell me that, which is why she is my ex!), Beck is probably the best guitarist out there these days (along with Tom Morello); he just keeps getting better and better.

What Moon River? Serious question. Lyrics would be the answer.

I sooo wish they were going to be on the same bill in New Orleans! I have floor seats for my the Clapton concert in March, and no disrespect to Roger Daltrey, but to see EC and JB on the same stage from just a few rows away would be an episode in my life with hardly an equal. Oh well, JB is slated for the N.O. jazz fest this year on the same weekend with B.B. King and Pearl Jam.
If you haven't seen Jeff's live DVD from Ronnie Scott's, definitely try to find it. Same thing with Clapton and Winwood's MSG concert DVD.
Oh, I almost forgot! All you people in the midwest should check out Clapton's website for info on Crossroads 2010. 8)

I was exceptionally lucky to see We Are Plastic ono Band at BAM and then JB/EC this week.

Jeff Beck had a tweed amp in his rack but it looked too small to be a twin. Anyone know for sure what it is? Also, Clapton's has a tweed amp sitting on the drum raiser. It looks like a Blues Deluxe but again. Anyone know for sure? And, why does he 'split' between two amps?
