My mother played piano and my son plays keyboards and guitar. My paternal grandfather was a singer, or crooner, as they called them back in the 30's.

My mom played piano and we always had one in the house when I was growing up. I played b-flat cornet in the high school band. My dad played piano but "by ear". I had an uncle who played french horn in the Vermont National Guard Marching Band and he played bass for a "Big Band" that played up in the Burlington area.

My Nan was a pianist apparently. I never got to hear her play. From all accounts completely self taught. Local rumour has it that she could hear something once and play it.

Pretty sure that level of skill isnt hereditary.

My Mom sang tenor in a Barbershop chorus / quartet, my sister plays piano, my eldest son plays guitar, my middle son plays guitar, piano, and sax my youngest son has a bass that he messes with - my daughter has a great voice but has not pursued a use of it in music at this time.

my 2 brothers picked up guitar after i did. i have many cousins and aunts who played piano, drums, mandolin, organ, and a few others.

whenever we would get together the instruments would come out, and the jam was on. unfortunately in my younger years we tended to play the music they liked. the upside is that i was introduced to many types of music, which came to be a blessing during my years in a wedding band.

neither of my kids had an interest in playing, but i informed my daughter than when her son is born this may, i have a squier strat ready for him. hopefully he can carry on the music tradition

Nobody on my side of the family although my Dad used to be a dance instructor when he first met my Mum.

My wife plays piano and violin. She's the only one in her family except for her Mum who plays the electric organ - but it sounds like someone beating a cat with a stick.
