That location in Vancouver looks great!

Nikky Yanovsky did a great job on the Canadian anthem I thought. Is it true that she's only 16?

The opening Ceremony was fabulous, well except for the technical issue at the torch lighting.

That "issue" caused me to miss the actual lighting (stupid DVR)! How did they light it once that last post went up?

I couldn't bear to watch most of it as the music was so godawful. The antithesis of music actually...a cacophony. Cool visual fx tho.
The pluis side was - Had to go downstairs and play my own music...my new (old-1990) jazz bass is rockin, I love it!

They had 4 posts and 4 People to light them. The 4th post never came up. So they went with 3.

The Official Olympic Torch has to been seen throughout the City so there was actually another Torch to be lit. Wayne Gretsky was followed from the Stadium to the other Torch and lit it.

Yeah, the last bit I saw was Gretsky standing around like WTF? So it wasnt something cool like the year the guy shot the arrow into the torch? By far the best lighting concept to date!

Although a flaming puck wrist shot into the torch would be pretty cool!

A flaming puck.... What a fabulous idea. Although with the Greatone's shots it may have gone right through the torch.

While watching the ski jumps now with acoustic in hand and some of these words, it's the start of a new song. "Cool Torch"

Would have been cool for them to include a live performance from Canada's national treasure ...

Maybe the next Winter Olympics can be held in Houston. We could build the largest indoor, refrigerated, man-made mountain in the world! We'd need lots of snow cone makers...
