A 96-98 Custom Shop Strat Mary Kaye is valued at $2000 according to V.G. Price Guide That's listed as a 57 Mary Kaye with a "played in" feel. A 96 regular cunetto era Strat however is listed at $3400 so I imagine the relic Mary Kaye would be considerably more unfortunately there's no listing for it so maybe Nikininja's info is close taking into account that UK prices are usually higher than North America.

Guitslinger your bang on mate. Take the $ sign and swap it for a £ sign and your loosely around the right area with new stuff.

However its a big comfort to have someone research the current book values. As stuff on your side may appreciate at a different rate to stuff our side. I still cant get my head around what you fella's pay for new marshalls. The used market is far more realistic in that instance.

I have just recently bought a 1995 50's relic very much like the one you're looking at.

I paid £2500 which i think is a reasonable price being as there aren't many in the UK.

However, i have seen prices of upto $7000 in the US and 4000 euros on the continent....but have they sold??

The 1996's are a little less rarer than the 1995's due to the fact Vince actually did all the relic'ing himself at that time in his first relic workshop.
In 1996 the relic craze took off so much they moved to a bigger facility and hired more people.

I reckon about £2200 is fair price, the guy i bought mine off was a collector and had three, he sold a 96 for £2200.
I also recently saw one on ebay which was a 95 with a couple of cosmetic issues and it didnt sell for £2200.
Might be worth looking at completed listings and PM'ing him.

Hope that helps

BTW...They are superb...i have a time machine relic which is a great guitar but the relicing isnt a patch on the cunetto...the cunetto really does look like an old strat.

Cheers
