I just read an ad in the local on line classifieds for a 67 Blackface Twin for $1200.The amp has been modded with a 100W transformer and put into a custom built headthat looks like the old style Super Showman heads, the cab is a 2-12 that is also a ringer for the 60s Fender 2-12 cabs with 2-12" Electro -voice speakers.The tolex and cabinetry work is superb and you'd swear it was all authentic Fender made equipment.I'm seriously considering getting it but was hoping to save my money 'til May when I go to the US with intentions of buying a couple of good used Rics.I'm open to suggestions as to what I should do.I already have a 69 Bassman with a 2-15 cab but I always wanted a blackface twin and I always wanted a Ric 325 or 350 and a 360/12.Please help!

I too like original gear but the guy posted the name of the guy who did all the mods and he's known for doing outstanding mods and upgrades on amps otherwise I would have steered clear.

I haven't heard it yet but I can imagine it sounds sweet as the tech who modded it is a tone junkie/perfectionist.
