I dont own it, a shopowner does. I was simply setting the thing up for him. It's not mine. My tastes are far more conservative.

Ah, sorry to be a drag. But thank you! :D

To my completely personal taste that may be the most beautiful Strat I've seen for a long time. I just love that gentle flame, not silly over the top as so often on expensive guitars. And I like the distinct longitudinal grain lines too. Got a feeling many would down-grade it for that - I want to stroke it!

I'm not remotely in the position to pull the trigger on a Custom Shop Strat at present. So just clear up my anxiety and tell us how much is being asked for this guitar, please?

Then I can be sensible and get back to real life...

Cheers man - C

Ceri- I have been told by a wise old violin maker that you can tell the quality of a flamed maple by those long lines on the top  I gues the tighter the grain and more distinct lines means you have a perfect slab of wood. Then again, I guess viloin makers tend to use high grade stuff that would make PRS private stock green with envy.

Ninja- on the topic of guitar photo's, you mentioned a couple of times you have a Jackson that has a graphic of somesort (correct me here) and was a little "too left of centre" to post... I must ask- as I am intrigued about this... are you willing to post a link?

Woah.

I'm in love.

What a beautiful piece of wood, and what a stunning guitar. :D

Blertes

The jackson doesnt have a graphic, its my old touring guitar. It's covered in stickers, one from every time it went out of the country. Their not all appropriate for a family friendly place like this. I've tried to block the offensive content but some always comes through. So out of respect I dont really want to post a pic here.

On a related subject. I could really do with my current bands logo on my telecaster. Ceri?

Hi Blertles: dunno - I think the likes of PRS and Taylor have access to sources of the absolute best tonewood available. Mr Taylor apparently goes in person to watch the felling of each koa tree on Hawaii, for example - which will cost him hundreds of thousands per trunk. But recoup even more, of course...

There are certain suppliers on the internet and other places who advertise their stock as coming from old stores of wood belonging to violin makers in Germany and Switzerland. You can be sure I keep a good eye on those folks - though the billets are often too small for guitar building... :?

It would be my honor and pleasure to assist with that - as you well know! Care to show us what the logo looks like?

BTW: I'm very glad to hear the CS Strat in this thread is not for sale. That relieves me of much soul searching - phew!!!

Cheers - C
