Jeff Beck was a big influence on my playing and still is. I hope that I can play as well when I'm his age.

I also liked Steve Morse, Vai, Clapton, Frank & Dweezil, along with all the blues guys and old timers like Jimmy Bryant, Cliff Gallup and the usual suspects.

Guy thanks for your kind words, but I didn't want to put anyone off posting.

Mike that is awesome playing! What guitar did you use for that? And how did you get that creamy tone? I wish I had the patience to record myself.

Funny, as a bass player, that guitar sound, feel and guts is one I'd go to the end of the world for, but I was annoyed by the bass and drums.

Having explained where it all came from, I get it. You need a hot soul to play bass! Four strings is not more simple. But you knew that...

Again, that guitar sounded freakin' hot!

all you have to do is go to most peoples www page and you will find thier noodles :) Obviously nothing pro but it would be nice if this forum had a space for a couple of riffs. Myspace won't let me post other people's songs and YouTube is not supposed to but I guess most artists don't complain if someone wants to play their song.

As per the title really. I posted a similar thread a while back and got zip responses. I would love to hear and see what you guys n gals sound like so post up your links here: :D

I'll go first! I used to spend hours trying to sound like SRV (I gave that up a while back when I realised I wasn't actually SRV and would never sound like him) but I left a video or two on YT of my efforts. This is my fave:
