This guy (Arthur Lee Land) is amazing....no..really...he is freakin amazing!!!

He's looping and recording at the same time in this clip...Also dig his guitar solo at 5:45 - I think I read on his website that under the psychedelic paint job is a '55 Telecaster with a McVay B-Bender.

Later in the video he starts a new loop for the "Rain......rain.........rain......" harmony part.

This and his other videos made me realize you can do a lot more with a looper than just soloing over a simple chord progression.

Most excellent.

It looks like he uses a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker in the neck position...like a Gibson Firebird pickup. I put one in a Jazzmaster long ago. Seymour D. himself sent me a Jazzmaster pickup cover to cut into a pick-up ring.

What some guys go through just to get out of splitting the take with band mates.

That was bizarre. I didn't know that you could do so much with a looper. I particulary enjoyed the talk-box bits. :D

Bizarre indeed...always interesting reading the comments under the vid on YT...lol.

Wow - that's amazing! Literally, a one-man band!

Long before I had my first guitar, I found the clip of KT Tunstall performing Black Horse and a Cherry Tree live using looping (had no idea what looping meant). I was completely blown away - must have watched it a hundred times! Great voice and to me, sexy as heck! Still one of my favorite songs.

I think the comment under the "Rain" video says it all."If I had a set-up like that at home, I would never eat or sleep, just make music with myself".
Thanks Mike,
