Hey Ya'll,
I have this new band project coming up (more details later once I know if it's gonna work out or not) and I'm trying to clean up my rig just a little bit. In a nut shell, I'm using one of those On Stage amp stands (to support my new Bugera V22), basically identical to the one show at;

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4 ... Stand.html

What I'm looking for is some kind of extension arms that I can mount to the front legs of the amp stand to put my rack effects unit on instead of having to put it on a table or something. Ideally the arms should probably just clamp on but perhaps be adjustable so I can tilt the fx unit up just a tad to see the display. This way I could just mount my fx unit right under the amp where it would basically be out of the way and I could use shorter cables to connect it to the amp's fx loop.

The fx unit itself is an ART Multiverb which fits in a single rack space. I don't really want to bother getting a separate rack case for just this one unit or anything (although I probably will later anyways just for transport) but either way the unit isn't particularly large or heavy or anything so I would think that even something like a couple of basic keyboard extension arms should easily support it.

So...anyone ever seen anything like what I'm describing? I've looked at On Stage's website and elsewhere around the web but haven't seen anything so far.

As always, I'm grateful for any suggestions here. The first get together with this new band project is Saturday so I would also be most grateful for anyone who could come up with anything in the next day or so :-).

Thanks!
Jim

Well, to be honest I probably could make my own...and if it comes down to that, I probably will. At the moment however I just spent the past week try to fudge the linkage on my wife's car's windshield wipers as no one makes the replacement part ('91 Pontiac LeMans made by Daiwoo)...so I'm rather tinkered out at the moment. Also with the practice coming up on Saturday, I could just go somewhere and buy something that will work properly, that would be easier for me right now anyways.

Peace,
Jim

You might try some inexpensive shelving standards and brackets (any hardware store) and just drill and screw them to the amp stand. If you don't want to drill it then maybe attach the standards with hose clamps. Just a thought of something quick, cheap, 'n easy.

I was out at my local Guitar Center today and I did actually find something that would probably work (with a little modification)...it was a rack for putting a notebook computer on for a keyboard rig. The catch was that is was $100...for that I guess I'll just build my own next week.

I'm not going to drill the stand as I really don't want to weaken it...my Bugera amp isn't really that heavy, but my old Lab L5 is. The laptop stand I was looking at today gave me a good idea of how I want to do it...almost kind of like an adjustable U or C clamp that connected to a shelf. I'll just have to find the time to sit down and tinker with it.

Thanks,
Jim
