Yeah, i always wondered how hendrix kept it legitimately in tune when he's just annihilating that whammy bar.

I use 9-42's on one and 9-48's on the other. Does not effect string bending at all. Operation of the trem is a little bit stiffer but not much.

I increased the gap to get the action lower. It is probably not exactly 1/4 in. but is close. I find it comfortable. I can also use the trem slightly while just resting my hand on the back of the bridge. Going from standard tuning to 1/2 down does not require a bridge adjustment either.
