One of my idols and greatest players on the planet. Was an early member of Thin Lizzy and has played it all from hard rock to hard rock, heavy metal and blues. His electric blues work is on par IMHO with SRV though he favors a Les Paul but will also break out a Strat and Tele during the same show. Vicious chops and a great tone. If you can, get the DVD Live Blues and the CD Blues Alive to see what all the fuss is about.lol Gary is a players player and the sin is he does not tour the states anymore.

he's an awesome guitarist, and an arrogant jerk to boot. saw him live a few years ago.

He tripped across a lead, and obvioiusly broke the lead/jack plug. it crackled once or twice after and he screamed and shouted at the roadie. you could see the poor roadie sweat.

I mean he was unduly rude, blaming the guy for something that was completely out of his control.

later on, some guy in the front row shouted up "come on Garry, your just going through the motions, put some feeling into it".

Moore stared at the guy for abotu 2 mins, rubbed sweat off his brow, said " does this look like im going through teh F**KING motions", flicked the sweat at the guy, then said" F**K you lot", threw his guitar at his roadie,walked off stage, came back on 3 mins later, told the guy to "F**k off", got the bouncers to throw the guy out, and then proceeded to play a 45 min solo. the band had no idea what to do . it was garry fret wanking with no backing music for 45 mins. Complete tosser. hate the fact that my money went to him!
