Many of us here either own or have owned Squiers. I dont think anyone here will look down on you for having one.

Ok so before you hate on me 4 gettin a Squire :oops: , I am soo very happy to finally get a new guiar!! Its a Squire Bullet, & its very lovely(;
I got a Squire b/c number 1) im a beginner & 2) i couldnt afford what I really wanted...ok so there u have it lol! :roll:

Nothing wrong with a Squier. My first electric was a Squier Standard Strat in Cherry Sunburst. That was a really nice guitar that I regret selling to this day, loved the color, it stayed in tune well.

Play it til you can't play no more, once you move up you may find that this first one remains a favorite.

Congrats! :D Be sure and post pics whenever you can.

I swear by my Squier. It was my first guitar, it's insanely purple, it's been broken and fixed several times over, it was only $100 but I still added $200 pickups to it anyway, and sometimes people bash it. (But the not the people on this forum!) And it's still one of my favorite guitars ever.

haha sorry but I dont know how!! Plus its at my uncles house, hes changin & lowering the strings...I'll have it 2marow though(:

Good for your uncle!!! I'm starting to change my opinion on some of the lower-end Squiers They do have some cheap parts on them but what they mostly lack is attention after they come off the production line. Especially if it is going to be sealed up in a starter pack. If they know it is going to hang on a wall and people are going to be able to try before they buy they seem to give it a little more attention but if it is a starter pack and the buyer won't actually have a chance to check it out till they get home from Shopco and open the box, it seems to go straight from the producton line to the box. You get what you pay for and it isn't just the parts. If you buy a Custom Shop you can expect that it will have the best setup possible. A starter pack, almost no setup except "Yep, all the parts seem to be there". Affinity models and Standards somewhere inbetween. Most people can't afford a good guitar to start with so they get a cheap one and give up because it hurts their fingers too much. With a proper set up it doesn't have to hurt! A brand new player with no callusses could pick up my Stagemaster and play for an hour without hurting their fingers. My acoustics pretty much the same way. In fact, over the past few years I've noticed that my callusses are getting thinner even though I'm playing more.

A guitar is as good or bad as the player. Enjoy the Squier, I have a Bullet myself.

Make that Squire cry and sing! :D :wink:

I have a Strat... the way I play, it might as well be a broomstick taped to a cigar box with a rubber band to twang on. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Nothing wroong with Squier's my friend. Good instruments at a fair price. I have more respect for them in general than I do for the Made in Mexico guitars.

That Purple is nice!!! Saw your YouTube video of the District Finals. Awesome job! Almost made me want give up on guitar - been playing since before you were born and you have passed me up! Guess I'll just have to practice more.
