Hello I am new at playing the guitar. I think it is a awesome instrument, but I am having trouble with the whammy bar. It will not move at all! The only way for me to move it would for me to brake the guitar trying. We all know we don't like broken guitars though. I have a Star Caster guitar. I do not know if that is the brand name or not. Can someone please help me.

My advice would be to take it to a guitar tech (local shop.) If they break it... well... it's on them not you. 8)

One of the first things I do is remove the "whammy" bar.
I use my fingers "BB King style" to create vibrato.
I just don't care for them, myself.

Sounds like you might have skipped a thread or something installing it...as others have mentioned, take it to a shop with a repair person.

Right when i was about to make a Other post i picked the guitar up and i tried to use the whammy bar, and it worked but i have to put a lot of force on it to move. I feel like its going to break. Is it normal because i just got it on Christmas and have not used the whammy bar until yesterday.

Can you describe how you're using it and whether everything felt OK when you attached it? Taking it back to the shop does sound like the safest option though...

It depends on what your definition of a lot of force is, but it takes some force to move it because there are anywhere from 2-5 springs that hold the bridge down when you are not using the whammy. If you feel its too much force though, you can remove the back cover, and see how many springs are in there...removing springs will reduce the tension needed, but then you need to make sure there is enough tension there to keep the bridge flush to the guitar body...

Well, is it (referring to the whammy bar) supposed to raise it up?

Welcome to the forum! :D

Yes, the whammy bar is supposed to lift the bridge up off of the body when you use it. :)
