if you mean the SE-100 Strat, it is a very nice guitar. it comes with the Squier Strat Pack. got mine about 7-8 years ago, and still love it very much. the only things i changed were the pickups (even Fender owners will do this) and the pickup switch (Squier uses a funky design, im not surprised it failed. it lasted a long time, but Fender's design seems much smarter). other than that, mine is all stock. i'm very happy with the build and craftsmanship. fretwires nicely buffed, 3-ply pickguard, tuners are very sturdy and hold tuning well, body feels solid (i get nice acoustic resonances from it, no lie). honestly, it feels like a good guitar, i dont feel like its some cheap hunk of particle board. feels real solid in my hands.

i dont know if things have changed, but its said that the se-100 is a step above the Affinity in quality overall. i think the cheaper Squiers even do without the polyurethane coating, if i remember correctly. the SE-100 does have coating, which is good for the wood. i imagine the new Classic 50s and 60s series are probably better. but who knows?

you should go to a store and find the Strat Pack. plug in that guitar and see what you think. if they are still the same quality as mine, i suggest you consider. it gets 2 thumbs up from me. love it to death.

Search through the Squier Guitars Forum. You'll probably find more info there. 8)
