I just received an email from a buddy giving me a link to a local buy&sell site. There's a guy selling a flametop Gibson Les Paul Custom for $1000 and I'm very tempted because judging by the pix it's in near mint condition.I'm seriously having a dilemma as I was planning on buying a Rickenbacker 350 or 360/12 when I go to the US in May.What to do,what to do.

I know the feeling. This past month I had 3 Teles finally keeping the last of them. GAS can blind you.

A Les Paul Custom in mint condition for $1000 is pretty much a steal, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat as long as it met mah standards ^^

Fender Frontman 212R Guitar Combo Amplifier.
(Let you know in 24 hours if I gave into my GAS or not)

I just got an email and it appears the guitar is a Chinese knock-off,I'm not that up on Gibson's and couldn't really tell at first blush. There were a few things about it that weren't quite right such as tuners, serial no.,headstock.I guess I should have known with the old adage"If it's too good to be true......".

Yeah,it's pretty hard to fake a Ric,I'd only buy one from a reputable dealer anyway unless I was 100% sure of what I was getting.

Yeah, and a paltry $1000 for a nice condition Gibson LP Custom falls right smack in the middle of that addage ...
