What beauties!! I have adopted 5 stray cats and 3 dogs out here so far in Bahrain! They're all very grateful to have somewhere safe to live and food at the ready!

They all get on very well!

Got a cat, dont like him much. The only reason he's still here is cos the missus adopted him before I met her.

Still he's not that bad. Bit of a hardcase that keeps the vermin population low. (which I am very grateful for) He bought me a blackbird the other day. Great big thing.
The postman knocked the door a few years ago, "is this your cat?" he asks. Points to Winston lay sprawled out on the grass, covered in this thick black goop. I thought he'd been hit by a car. Rushed him down the vets, who carefully starts to wash him much to Winstons disdain. I honestly thought he'd been hit by a car and was covered in oil. As this stuffs washing off him it turns red. Blood, something elses. Not a scratch on him, he'd been through the middle of something and cost me £45 just to find that out.

I thought he was a right fairy for years, until that day. I decided I should pay more attention after that. It turns out he's the gaffer of the local moggies. Quite suprising as he's tiny.

I've had dogs all my life, til I met my girlfriend. Now I live with a mainecoon, 22lbs., an american domestic, that thinks he's a dog, and a yellow lab, going thru the terrible two's. I have to admit, they do give us plenty of laughs.

We got a really great cat, acts more like a dog, follows us around, comes when she's called, etc. Lots of personality for a feline. Had her 9 years now.

The king of my house, 10 yr-old Zap.

Image

So named because when he was kitten, he loved to chew on electrical cords. (think Christmas Vacation!) It's a wonder he never lived up to the name because he grew up living in a photography studio with lots and lots of cord options. In this photo, he's keeping watch on the back yard through the screen door as usual. (He's indoor only.)

He's pretty well trained - 'cause he knows if he acts up, he'll get "the hole". (30 minutes or so locked up in the bathroom - with the light off)

I love dogs too, but cats simply amaze me.

Never cared for cats as I find them a pet that thinks you need them more than they need you.lol Now a dog is a whole different story. I swear I have had dogs that really were a family member.

I have a 6 year old and a 1 year old daughters so that's all the pets I need  That said I do like cats but they don't like me since when I'm around a cat it just about closes up my throat for a couple of days.
