Our blizzard started around 6 A:M and it's starting to build up quickly,i drove to the supermarket and when I returned 1/2 hr. later all my tracks had been covered. This type of snow makes for difficult driving, ironically it's 4X4s and SUVs that you see on their roofs in ditches in this weather.People buy these $50,000 + rigs and figure that their invulernable to slippery road conditions when the truth is that a 4X4 will get you in bigger trouble a lot quicker(and farther from home)than a regular vehicle if not handled properly.

Just talked to a guy in Virginia and it's coming down pretty good there. Most of the businesses are closing at noon.

Yup, just north of Raleigh is snowing right now, so I bet it's just now starting to get bad in southern Virginia.

The weather says it will be significantly more than that. It is snowing hard right now (Fri, 4pm easter time).

Just started in where I am, about 45min south of Williamsport (LL world series) PA. I think we're supposed to get 4-8 inches.

This was last year. (My front yard.)[img][/img]

This year, when we're hosting the Olympics, nada. Oh well, it'll still be good.

I am guessing we are at about 12 inches and counting. Coming down heavy now.

Well in NY they said it should be here tomorrow and I could care less, as it is the Super Bowl Sunday so I will just be staying in and watching the game.

We are waiting on what the South is sending our way. We had two feet in my town, at the end of DecemberThe five boroughs are on a storm warning. Eastern Long Island is still on a watch. They've even gone so far as to deem the Long Island Expressway as the border between a lighter and heavier fall. We'll see. Fortunately, Straycat's closer to a Department of Sanitation garage, so his neigborhood may have a better shot at an earlier cleanout. I was hoping to be in Manhattan on Sunday but that might be postponed. CV, I hope your cupboard is stocked and a backup generator on standby.
