I'm new here.

I have a batch of guitars. Several of them are Fenders ('52 AVRI Tele, Fender Tex-Mex Tele, '60 Fender Duo-Sonic). I also have a Fender MIM Jazz bass and an 80's Squier MIJ Precision bass, and a couple DeArmond guitars. And a 1966 Fender Super Reverb amp (modded into a 2x10 combo amp and a 2x10 extension cab by a previous owner).

I recently let my old school punk rock band of about 11 years implode, though I may revive it later in some new form. I'm also still in what were 2 "side" bands where I play guitar, and sometimes bass. Those bands play roots rock and power pop, all 3 bands did/do originals.

Here's my guitars:

This is me with my '52 AVRI Tele, Slainte!

Here's me last weekend playing my P-bass:

I'm in Gainesville, Florida.

Enough about me.

Thanks!

It's an M-72. Sounds just like my DeArmond Jet Star but is in much better shape (I kept her in a closet at my church for several years as my church gig backup). Because the sound is so similar to the Jet Star (and because I've since got a couple Gibby LP's) I'm actually selling that one.

If you know anyone that's interested let me know!

Thanks Erased!

It kind of built up over many years.

It looks cool all together in one room, but I rarely have time to mess with the whole batch like that:

Haha, 3 hours a day? Good for you!

Shoot son I'm lucky if I get 3 hours a week!

But I do rotate them (except for the 2 oldest that have issues) in practice and for shows. I try to never play 2 shows in a row with the same main guitar.

I call it the "Rick Neilsen Syndrome." :)

I've actually met Rick. Funny guy.

Wow, 90 looks and only a handful of actual responses.

Is it something I said? Do I smell bad? Halitosis?

Somebody could at least come on and make fun of some of my wackier guitars! The Clark Kent glasses are fair game too.

That's more like it!

Thanks peeps.

CAFeathers, the really "pepto" pink one at the top is a Daisy Rock Retro-H. They did an upgrade to that model later by adding a coil-tap and making the mini-humbuckers Duncan Designed instead of stock no-names. So when they closed out the orignal less-fancy version, particularly in the pink (which obviously wasn't very popular with guys), it was available super-cheap. I got mine for $120 shipped, brand new! It's a bolt-neck guitar, so it's sturdy, and those mini's really scream. I gigged that guitar within a few days of receiving it, and despite how cheap it was, it sounded great!

And yes, I'm a-wearin' a wighat in that pic. It was my crazy lead singer's idea. Of course, I was crazy enough to do it.

Thanks!

The Duo-Sonic is a 1960 that needs some fret work and other stuff to get her really usable, but was my first proper electric (after a "Sears special" POS), so I'ma hold onto her.

The black Tele is a parts-o-caster a buddy of mine, who's sorta a DIY "luthier" (and I use the term very loosely), made. It was originally a toploader, and the guy apparently got a hand-drill and made it into a string-through-- just holes in the body, no ferrules! He crudely chiseled an indention into the back, got out some tinsnips and cut a piece of metal to fit over the gouged-out indention, and put six holes in the metal plate. The plate holds the string-ends and keeps them from sinking into the wood, or disappearing into the holes. It's the wackiest thing you've ever seen, but it actually works.

He also let his son "Townshend" it onstage, so it's pretty "relic'd:"

He was in the middle of doing some recording locally and running out of bucks, so he sold it to me for $100. The neck pup is a Seymour Duncan mini and worth at least half that. I did sink another 50 or so smackers into it to get it playable (set-up, new nut, new knobs), but it's a fun axe that I can throw around onstage and not worry about dinging up.

And that mini is a great rock pickup.

Haha, thanks! It's alwqays good to "hear" though.

An internet buddy of mine (we actually met and jammed a couple years ago when he was in Florida on vacation) has over 100 guitars, and mostly either vintage or custom-shop type pieces.

So there's always somebody out there that has a nicer collection!

Mine's actually pretty motley, nothing particularly collectable or expensive. A lot of mine were bought for $250 US or less, then I have a small group at the $400-$500 range, and the LP Classic set me back $750, which is the most I've spent or probably will spend.

Pretty bargain basement by some folks's standards.
