i'm sure this has been covered but since i'm new i figured why not.

What are some of your favorite Guitar solos

In no particular order:

1. Alex Lifeson/Rush - La Villa Strangiato (from Exit Stage Left especially)
2. David Gilmour/Floyd- Dogs (from the Animals album)
3. Dave Murray and Adrien Smith/ Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name
4. Trey Anastasio/Phish - Divided Sky
5. Queensryche - Anybody Listening?

My Junior High School won a radio contest and Dr. Hook was the prize (gack! I'm sooo dating myself with this one!). It was during their hit with the Sam Cook cover, "She Was Only Sixteen". A few friends and I met them during lunch time. Later, when they played the concert and got to that wild guitar solo, I remember all of the teachers holding their ears.
