my dad, he was one heck of a jazz player. He's probably the biggest influence on me. Then the standard Clapton, Harrison, and BB King.

also one of by best friends Ty Curtis. If you like blues, swing, rock, and funk you'll love it!!!

I have to start from the beginning & work forward. No way I can name everyone that would take too long.
Chuck Berry
Johnny Cash
The guitar player (can't recall his name) that used to play every weekend when I was 5 years old at the park.
Jimi
Keith Richards
BB King
Buddy Guy
Muddy Waters
SRV
Jimmie Vaughan
Tommy Castro
Me
The one thing that really inspires me is my love for playing, if you don't have passion for playing then what's the point?

I was going to make a thread similar and found this one. Early on (and still today) Eric Clapton. He was one of the greats that I knew about before I knew much. I later discovered (in my opinion the other two of the three best Stratocaster players) Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. All of them influence me but honestly I think John Mayer influences me the most. I know that he is not a sole pioneer to blues or music like he plays. He was influenced by the three I mentioned and many more I am sure. I can relate more to his music as it is happening "live" in my lifetime. Being 24 I was not musically oriented and or alive when the "three greats" were breaking through.
