I went to my first guitar lesson with a guy whos reall awesome. He said to my mum, "look, I come across a student who is kinda special, special meaning that they have the passion and are truly talented at guitar. Riley's one of them. So I reckon we should upgrade the lesson to an hour, rather than the half hour......." and blah blah blah.

Just thought Id let you guys know

the thing you should do is not put down your guitar any more than you have to untill your next lesson, put in all the effort you can to learn your lesson so you teacher will know you are ready to move on and not spend much time going over the same thing, if you do this a half hr. lesson is all you need...

Good for you Riley as your teacher can see you have the potential and passion to become a great guitarist.Just keep plugging away and if life throws you a few curve balls don't waste your energy by swinging at them just set your eyes and heart on your goal and don't let anything distract you.You never Know you may be Australia's biggest thing since the Bee Gees (lol )or AC DC.

Talent is a gift. I am glad you have an instructor that motivates you. Though your hard work, you will flourish.

Riley that is great and that shows they see special potential, so keep your head focused and work hard and take the learning side serious. But also dont forget how fun it is to make music and play guitar.
