Hey everyone! I've had my AM Standard for just around a month now and as I got used to it and broke it in a bit I decided to start tweaking. I had some fret buzz on most of the strings from about the 9th fret on so I wanted to see what I could do with that and I wanted a little lower string height than it came with. I checked the neck relief and it seemed well within range so I played with the individual saddle height and the bridge screws last night. I brought them down to Fender specs and expected more fret buzz but it actually seems to have less. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy with this but it confused me to say the least. I was hoping to match the radius at a low height and then slowly adjust it up until the buzz went away and somehow it's gone. Now I'm not really experienced with this and I'm not the type to just shrug and enjoy it. I would love to know if anyone else has had this happen for them or at least be able to understand how in this case lowering the strings helped with the buzz.

Beats the heck out of me how it happened. I usually have the opposite result. Actually a little buzzing doesn't bother me as much as having a note fret out when I bend. That drives me crazy.
