My mom and I struck a deal. I pay for all of the guitar (I'll get to that) and she'll buy a case. The guitar is....A Gretsch!! I really like it too!

I can't decide on a color. The sunburst looks different in pictures but I've seen the Orange and I like it.

Here are pics (I'll keep you posted if i get it for Christmas)

Nice, I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of your idea, too. I don't mean to be intrusive, but how much does it cost?

I saw a Country Gentleman in a shop this past weekend. It was pretty stunning. Amazing guitars.

I'd go for the orange. When I think Gretsch I think of an orange guitar, but that's just me.

no, not at all. The G5120 will cost me $600 (technically $599 at Guitar Center, $595 at Musicians Friend, but I don't order guitars off the web). The case will be about $100, but I want to see If I can order a Gretsch case.

yeah, I'm selling the 335 copy and the DG-8S after I get the Gretsch, sad to see em go, but I don't play them.

As for color, I like orange because 1) standard Gretsch color and 2) the sunburst looks different in pictures so Its hard to tell what it really looks like.

I had an old Gretsch CG, but I never bonded with it so I sold it. It just didn't feel right on stage after playing Teles and Strats for so long.

Good luck with yours !

Hey, I'm going to guitar center the day after thanksgiving to get it 'cause they have a 20% off everything so it'll cost about $490

Good News:
Have it in time for a gig in December

Bad:
Only have $400 so my grandma will pitch in $90
Thats my only Christmas present. (its okay, It'll keep me occupied)
I will have to sell my DG-8S and Washburn

Oh well, It'll still be a cool Christmas present.
