The funny thing is, the serious musician or even the hardcore hobbyist could give a $@!& what he plays. It's the fan boys that save a years worth of Micky D's paychecks to buy whatever thier hero happens to be playing that seem to be driving a lot of things these days.

It's just cool that they let an "old timer" on stage at the Grammys.
Did the Jonas Bros. heads explode?

He also has his Gibson signature model as well so I don't see a big deal. I agree that it's the player that makes the guitar not the other way around. A guitar that you love will make whatever sounds you want.

I sat through that torture that was the Grammy's to see Beck get to play for a little over a minute. First on the performance, as everyone would figure Jeff nailed Pauls tone to a tee and the girl was great. I loved the slapback tone and had no problem with Jeff playing a Paul as he owns a few Gibsons and mostly all of us on here could care less as we all own different brand guitars.

Now that rap disaster with lil Wayne Eminem and who ever the other guy was went on for about 5 minutes with about 2 bleeped out. I have now seen the truth that music is in shambles and there is no talent on the horizon that looks like it will save the day. By the way did everyone notice all the big awards were mainly Female acts.

The performance was a tribute to Les Paul. It was his signature tune!

He's the only artist I can think of with both Fender and Gibson signature models.

That says something about the respect he commands.

If there are any other artists please let me know.

I have tried for years and years to like Jeff Beck…….I just can’t do it…………Don’t get me wrong I love his tone and a lot of his style I copy to death. He is a most talented player…I just don’t like his music or how it’s put together for my tastes.

As already mentioned, those execs will approach cardiac arrest when they realize Jeff has a signature Les Paul. Here is the pic of it:
