It’s quite the ol’ boys club here. With all this testosterone floating about,
I thought I’d ask how many other lady guitarist and/or bassist are in the house, besides myself?

And while we’re at it, who’s your favorite female guitarist and/or bassist? (Ladies only, fellas!)

My picks:
Guitarist - Bonnie Raitt
Bassist - Tina Whymouth

Haha, female present.
I was just in Guitar Center today(I fell in love with a Tele--I really need to give into my G.A.S. and just buy one already. :P) with my friend, who's a dude, and I always feel like I have to impress every dude who walks by. They're always like, "Oh, hey, a chick. She doesn't know the first thing she's doing."
But, whatever.
I should really just get used to it.

I personally don't have a favorite female guitarist or bassist. When I actually think about it, I don't even like a female singer.

Yikes.

Pat Benatar is a great rock singer.
But, I hear you, most my guitar heroes are all men.

Nice to see another "rockin' chick" in the forum, by the way.
I got a Standard HSS Stratocaster, who's my baby but,
I recently gave into my G.A.S. and bought a
Fender FSR Standard Jazz Bass...
now I've got G.A.S. pains for another (bigger) guitar amp.
*burp!*

Australian guitarist Orianthi is proving to be an icon with the guitar in the making- she can blitz an 80's rock solo like you wouldnt believe- plays like Steve Vai and has the tone of Santana...and she is pretty cute too. but your right- not too many girlies here as far as I know

Image

most of us here are guys, which surprised me when I joined. However- when the girls do it, they tend to give us poor lads a good run for our money :P

Sorry to be rude and interupt the ladies talk-

Haha, it's totally alright, Straycat!! :P A lot of my friends call me "man" or "dude", so it felt like a normal thing. And I don't blame you for assuming I was a guy--almost all the forumites here are.
