I'm not fond of Signature Series guitars/basses. You're really spending much more for the name attatched to it but, some folks like that stuff.
Plus, although I love Clapton, I don't want his sound, I want my own.

The Road Worns are rather silly to me (sorry Fender). If I'm shelling out good money for a new guitar/bass,
I want it to look new. I'll do just fine wearing it out on my own, thank you.

+1

Floyd_The_Barber,

Busy first day. The reason this guitar is priced so high is because of the name behind it. I agree it is a piece of crap, but it is an exact replica of EVH's infamous Frankenstein. It also took a lot of research to find all the exact hardware that is on it (those refectors on the back he bought at some truck stop while on the road). It also takes a lot of time to build one to the exact same specs, down to the most minute scratch.

I agree I would not pay that kind of dough for a replica, but some people will (and have).

Actually look up on youtube the song Jump and thats is what it would sound like with Eddie's stage gear and Eddie playing. Like I said, a perfect replica.

It's a $17K Fender Custom Shop guitar. Do you really believe it isn't a high-quality instrument? I don't like the looks of it either, but you're just being deliberately obtuse at this point. :?

Click on "the story" in part three it describes the features on this guitar almost at the bottom of the write-up.

For someone who just got on here you are sure taking a lot of cheap shots at Fender and very famous artists.

Maybe it's time you take a break before you say something you will regret.

Fender's custom shop would never produce anything that is low quality.

People on this forum are very decent including the administrators. Please try and show some respect.

1.) thanks for the link RK i missed that
2.) russianracehorse i didnt see a price anywhere so i only had the standards of signature guitars that are such visual replicas to base that on
3.) mustangtoo i have made no intentional cheap shots at fender, again i was just basing this off of what ive usually seen in such visually replicated guitars. that is, the actual quality of guitars like that isnt always great. i love fender guitars i'm buying a new mustang soon.

sorry didnt mean to come across as disrespectful.

No disrepect taken on my part. I read up on it about a year ago. I was just trying to show you the specs. Although I would not own one, it is hard to tell them apart.

Peace,
RK
