If you're my generation then it has to be Moondance.

Set on multiple repeat, obviously.

Mate, if you sing your lady the song and put good effort in- she will go weak at the knees. especially if she knows the song is for her.

Without getting too graphic as there may be young-uns on here... I guess you know what comes next

i've been rocking the Robin Trower for those "moments". namely the soulful stuff, not the heavy stuff.

True that! Hannah is one of the tunes I put on that "special" disc I made.

all i have to add is "About to Begin". cant believe i left that out. if you cant make sweet love to that then i dont know what.

CC, i was just making a general statement. you're right about Guns though. Slash is probably up there with Gene Simmons and Mick Jagger

 lol, I'm only rippin the p155 out of you bro. I'm more of an Izzy Stradlin and Axl Rose kinda guy anyway.

I think its all got to do with mood. If its a drunken party after a good gig then Appetite by all means.

If I really like the girl then I travel the road of soul, I'm partial to a wee bit o Bobby Womack. Any of you guys like that kinda thing? Soul doesn't really come up here much.

Cheers,

CC

Bobby Womack, good stuff. "Across 110th Street"

howsabout "Soulsville" by Isaac Hayes? sax lines are so smooth. and the guitar is so chill, just rolling along. love it.

"Diamonds in the Back" Curtis Mayfield, DeVaughan

i really dig soul, its so in touch with...well, the SOUL. lol

I hear ya msvolpe! Like a wee bit of Hayes too. I'm a big Bobby Womack fan though, I love his voice and the tone of his guitar. After playin hard rock gigs all week thats how I like to unwind. Bit o Bobby, whiskey, ginger ale and crushed ice and enough cigarettes and Domino's pizza to see me through. Candle lit of course and with the acoustic on my lap. Complete bliss!
