After working on my wife for over a year trying to convince her I needed a new amp she finally broke down! We had the the week off together because it was our aniversary (18th!) and we were out running some errands when she said "Surprise, lets go get your amp!". I've been deliberating between a SuperChamp XD or a FM 65r. Well I got to the music store and went straight to the amps and tried them. Then the salesman at the store recommended I try the Vox AD50VT-XL 2x12 when I told him I wanted something with a little kick since my son has started drumming. I ended up getting the Vox, for less than the SCXD because I guess it was a discontinued model. Can I tell you how much this rocks compared to my GDEC JR! Totally cool, very happy with it. Just wanted to share- thanks for listening!

Happy Anniversary, those Vox amps are simply sublime,I have an AD120 VTH with a 4-12 cab and it's unreal.Does yours have the amp models such as several Fenders,Voxes,Marshalls,Mesa Boogie etc. and the wide range of effects? If your amp has this you'll have a hard time leaving the house because you'll never tire of combining amp models and different effects.

Yes it does guitslinger. Still trying to get used to the labels of the the different amp model and names. I've never had an amp thats programmable, so I've been monkeying around with that also. Thanks for all the positve comments people. From looking at other posts today, I'm not the only one who is enjoying new equipment today!

Hi Pineknot, here's a list of the amp models and which amps they represent at least on the AD120VTH:AC15-Ch 2 of a 62 Vox AC15, AC15TB-1990s Vox AC15TBX,AC30-Vox AC30 norm. ch.,AC30TB-Vox AC30 top boost Ch., Black 212-Fender Blackface Twin,Tweed 1X12-58 Fender Princeton, Tweed 4X10-59 Fender 4X10 Bassman,UK Blues-60s Marshall JTM45, UK 70s-69 100W Marshall Plexi,UK 80s-1983 100W JCM800,UK 90s- 90s JCM900 100W,UK Modern-JCM200,Recto-150W Mesa Boogie DDual Rectifier,US HiGain-91 100W Soldano,Boutique OD-Dumble Overdrive Special 100W Head,Boutique Cl-Dumble 100W clean channel.I hope this list coincides with your amp as with some tweaking they sound convincingly like the amps they represent.I've had my amp over a year and I'm still on the learning curve. One of the programable footpedals is almost a necessary option.Enjoy playing with it.
