I know I might sound like a noob or something but how do you fix string buzz? I have this fender starcaster (which loses tune real quick) and I don't want to have to take it in to a guitar place to have it fixed for string buzz. How can I fix the buzz manually w/o sending it in for a week (since the place is pretty busy most of the time) ? :?:

I'm a beginner so I don't know a whole lot about this :? . Some directions would really help.

Any help is welcome!! :D

Well I'm afraid that there isn't a good answer for this since many different things come into play when talking about string buzz or fret buzz as some call it. It could be anything from saddle height, nut height, neck issues or fret issues as well. I would highly recommend a solid set up be done professionally before you try and play with this yourself. I personally can't stand the buzzing myself so I can relate but it's a matter of sorting out one issue at a time. Try searching fret buzz and read up a bit. You'll soon see what I mean.

Hoeycow is right on the money,it could be one of any number of things or a combination of two or more.Your best bet like it or not would take it to a knowledgeable repair tech,I doubt that it would take very long even then wouldn't it be better to be without a guitar that gets on your nerves for a few days? When your guitar is returned you'll appreciate it much more and find that it was worth the wait.
