Best was the pairing of Izzy Stradlin and Slash. The REAL Guns N' Roses sound. I've also seen every guy who's played in that band, (Buckethead, Gilby Clarke, Robin Fink, Richard Fortus, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Paul Huge etc) and they weren't too shabby either.

Robert Randolph and Eric Clapton was also a highlight. As was Gary Moore.

Saw Martin Barre with Jethro Tull twice, amazing player. James Dean Bradfield........loads really.

I have to see Gilmour before I die though, never saw him and I adore his playing.

 1976 "Return to Forever" Romantic Warrior Al Dimeola. I was 3 rows from the front. Despite the fact that I don't remember much else about that night I won't forget that guitar. I thought it was impossible for someone to be that fast and that articulate on the fretboard. You heard every note of every arppegio. I had never heard a band stay so tight with so many different rythms and time signatures in one opus.......

In fact up until then I had been playing bass and when Stanley Clarke lit into it I decided I would never be able to play like that. It was the first time I'd seen the slap and pull fingering on a bass.

Danny Gatton for sure. Saw him twice in medium sized clubs. He really was an amazing player.

The list of people who I want to see is a lot longer than the list of people I have seen. And there's a fairly good sized list of people who I'll never see, but would have liked to.
