I just seen a demo on the Boss VE20 on U tube. Looks like this might help my sub par singing and boost my confidence.

I seen another one I think a digitech but you had to run the guitar through it also. Some reviews I have seen think that may be a negative compared to the boss

Looking for some feed back on anyone using one or something similar.Pro's and cons on different brands and models.

Electro Harmonix has recently released the V256 Vocoder that's getting good reviews,I don't know if that's along the lines of what you're looking for, they also make the Voice Box vocal processer that may be up your alley.Moog also makes a large array of sound enhancement gear that may be worth checking out.

I've been interested in the Electro-Harmonix unit but only so I can crank phonecall my mates as Soundwave from Transformers!

We use a Digitech Vocalist 300 with our band. It is the type where the guitar connects with the microphone, and based on the chord being played it adds the harmonies. We call it our "moron tabernacle" and use it quite a bit with good results.

We have it set so the harmonies it adds are not overpowering, but there is a definite added "depth" to the harmonies that the 3 of us can sing. I mean, it would be pretty obvious if we dialed in strong 5 part harmony or the sound of a choir when only two or three us are singing.

I wish I could find something to use in a similar way with my bass, but the device needs the multiple notes of the chord being played. I do some singing and ALWAYS think my voice is pretty weak on it's own.

I've got Melodyne and Antares plug ins, but no hardware.
