Hello all. I have a question about guitar stands. I recently saw Los Lobos in concert and noticed that they had a unique guitar stand (2 of them) on stage that I had never seen before. Kevin Eubanks also has one on The Tonight Show. It is black, tall, and is in an "A" frame shape. I can't figure out what kind of guitar stand this is. Anyone with information? Please share!!!

I bought 6 of those stands in December. They were on sale for $11.99 each. Only thing I don't like about them is the angle they slant back at. My old A frame stands would sit a up a little straighter and I could have them closer to the wall.

Wall hangers are a better option. Last time I used a floor stnd was for a backup guitar on stage.

Too many accidents with axes being knocked over taught me that up on the wall away from kids and pets, and drunk friends is a better option. guitars that aren't currentlly in the mix are stored, in their cases safely out of harms way.

One of my stands is made by Ultimate Support...it holds the guitar by the neck like a wall hanger.

I understand where twelvebar is coming from. Safety for your babies!

Fortunately for me, it's just my wife and I in the house most days. The kids come home from college on holidays but they're 24 and 26 years old.

I just use a plain On Stage. I forget the model. Sits close to the wall and out of the way without drilling holes in the wall.

Stands are cheap... like a set of strings, a package of picks, whatever... there's no reason not to have several if you want them. You can get a stand for less than the price of two beers on a night out.

+1

Sounds like what the OP described too.
