Brought back from the west coast, modern design magazine articles with mention of major players including architects and designers who influenced mid century modern of the 50s.

Slowhand - much better than his autobiography, IMO.

Thanks for posting Mike, I've now reserved it from the library.

Lemme see. I’m reading about:

- Prohibition and technocracy

- A second Lindbergh kidnapping threat

- A failed mutiny with a self inflicted bombing of a Dutch battleship.

- War in Manchuria with a weak League of Nations

- The rise of Hitler and his relationship with Richard Wagner’s widow

- Boxer Primo Carnera

- Golfer Gene Sarasen

- Sir Malcom Campbell & Bluebird II

- Brit records in aviation distance flying

- A story that began with 6 virgins, a sacrificial mountain cult in an isolated settlement, a family that included inbred insanity, speaking in tongues, fasting (for what I can only imagine), family law, all being charged of a bizarre murder of a willing 73 year old brainwashed woman giving herself to save a son from evil, in the backwoods of Kentucky.

- and much more including an ad showing a silver Rolls Razor that has a somewhat permanent hollow silver blade and silver case with stone to hone the blade that is reported to be 2/10,000 of an inch, and judging by the sharpness I believe it. I inherited one.

The magazine was just discovered from my inheritance, and the razor comes from my wife’s family so that is cool.

The periodical is NEWS-WEEK, February 17, 1933 10 cents. It has been protected in a transparent folder, and is mint as if on the news stand never touched. :D

It will look good next to my 1947 Rainbow Trout covered Field and Stream for the time being.
