How many of you have heard about plant based meat ?
How many want it? I thought so.

I’ve just read about plant (mung bean) based eggs being introduced at stores here in Canada and Tim Hortons has it on their menu.
How many want those?
I thought so.

Choices are good. Well, I thought so.
I chose soya cheese products that tasted better than real cheese. Honestly. Not all cheese and not all soy cheese. It took a lot of tasting before finding the better brands. I tried soy burgers for awhile, but they varied so much I went totally to healthy bison during the mad cow disease scare.

I also went totally soy for cheese, and Soy milk (almond), but not all brands. Three years later I found fermented soy was the healthy variety (ie: soya sauce). Unfermented soy has been linked to thyroid issues. I discovered that first hand. YMMV

Also, the argument about veggie alternatives being good for the climate rather than cattle and methane pollution definitely has some argument; however, you must consider the pollution from machines (big machines) planting, maintaining, harvesting, transporting (since many plant varieties mean many trucks or trains), and processing in the industry.

So, before you choose your veggie version you might want to consider the amount and kind of soy combined, and total consumption. Other considerations for and against can be found. Lots of things taste good, but . . .

Real food will soon come at a premium cost. I could be wrong, but if the fake food takes off, real food should be priced less. Should be doesn’t make it so.

The yolks on us.

I was just informed by a neighbour returning from Nova Scotia that wild Atlantic salmon is difficult if not impossible to get in restaurants or the market because fish farms have a parasite that depleted the wild stock and the seals get what’s left over. No surprise there. That problem is historical.

The next generation will certainly be having choices, but there will be tales of the real stuff of yesteryear.

Just don’’t mess with real ice cream. :x

I was reading about alternative energy, and it is reported that typically solar panels lose 85% to 95% of their solar energy. That’s probably why we aren’t driving inefficient solar panel cars like the college contestants. :P
Of course, the energy companies wouldn’t like it either. Nothing new there.

The Turn Of The Screw by Henry James.

I'm reading this because there was a reference to it in a book that I read recently, when they make reference to other books I like to read those other books in an effort to broaden my understanding.
