The November Man by Bill Granger, 1979.

I'm starting the entire series over, haven't read them since the 90s.

Just got my latest edition of Guitar World in the mail yesterday. The cover page was a picture of the LP In Utero by Nirvana. It should be a good read.

I have read about 25 (at least) biographies and auto biographies of main stream musicians. Many of them have a lot in common as to how they became so well known. They never gave up is one. Another is that it seems they always caught one lucky break that led them to another and so on. A turning point. Some who were well known didn't feel as though they had made it. In fact the story usually works that way. It's very different from their perspective . They know their struggles to get where they are. The reader just takes a small look.

Many popular bands from the Chicagoland area formed as a result of classified listings in this monthly free publication. Ted Nugents Mom wrote a column for the first 10 years or so.

Awesome read, and a really in depth view into the creation of The clash album 'London Calling'.
